Too many robot cats!

[Image: A warm grey bulky bear-dog-ish critter with a long tufted tail in two very different lighting situations: a side view with pale greys, and a front view with browns.]

ArtRage test! Well, the first finished one, anyway. There’s also an unfinished earlier one, which is from when I started realizing how used I was to just pressing really hard to get anything out of old!tablet at all. You don’t have to do that any more, brain.

(TUMBLR, WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Apologies for any weird half-uploaded duplicates of this.)

Long time no post art, self. Technically this isn’t brand new, either, I just fixed a few things that were bothering me. I set out to mimic Toei!Silver Fang some as a challenge, and ended up getting Watership Down all over the coloring style instead.

My SO needs to use their tumblr so I can link to them when I draw their characters’ pets :p.

Another spitz-type, or: me messing around in the GIMP drawing my SO’s character’s dog.

Color, how do I make it more awesome?

A couple pictures I did for Neogeen’s summer 2011 Art Jam

Well, technically a couple pictures and a doodle. Linking them so they can stay in-context; lotsa pictures elsewhere in the post (slow/limited connections, beware!):

Linking this ‘cause it’s got blood (in the form of animals biting each other lots). Art for my SO, done as a learn-how-these-watercolors-work pic. It’s a tracing of a sketch that ran away from me, hence the leg and dog kinda trailing off.

Those are bear dogs, and that is not a bear—it’s a critter from an original story involving the sudden appearance of a lot of magical monsters and a society that is not entirely coping with this. And stuff.
