In checking to make sure she didn’t have Mitsy then, I noticed part of the flashback to Sandra’s past has what looks like a Golden Retriever:
So maybe she has a soft spot for animals in general! I definitely do for characters taking in pets.

To What We Once Had (AO3), a drabble for Amy when she left Keith.
Sometimes I need to remember: I won’t get through that to-write list if I sit around forever planning and don’t, you know, sometimes just sit down and write things when I get ideas.
I rather like Amy. I mean, she punches her asshole ex after mocking his attempts to win her back/prove something to her by terrorizing the city’s pilots (that’s not creepy at all, nope), and there is not one bit of “oh poor Keith Amy how could you doooo that” because he’s acknowledged to be a jerk who pinned his self-worth on “nyah nyah I can beat your Zoid up”. YES THANK YOU that is a nice change from most shounen. I don’t know how it ended up in Fuzors, of all things, but I enjoy it.
(Like I can talk when I also ship Rei/Mamiya pretty hard, but that’s with a big “only if Rei pulls his head out of his ass” clause. Canon, why did you have to get sexism all over my huge weakness of two overly self-sacrificing characters stuck together?)
I got a review for my old Zoids parody fic on FF.net saying chapter four was a duplicate of chapter one (not sure if I did that trying to fix it the last time it broke or if it was FF.net) and two was messed up.
So I went to look at chapter two, and it was a bunch of clones of itself, which definitely wasn’t how I last left it. Weirder still, when I exported it to the document manager to edit, the broken chapter reported a wordcount of over 50k, but still showed as the single unbroken chapter in the editor.
What the feck…?
I replaced it with an entirely new document, so hopefully that won’t persist. Anyone else gotten spontaneously mutant chapters?
I bet you thought I forgot. NOPE, I was just being lazy about formatting and finishing one of them.
More? Other fandoms? Maybe, send me stuff! Again, no promises, but I’ll try. This gets me to actually write more :p.

This is two stories in a row involving kid characters and bugs (however briefly), which is…really unintentional. I wrote them years apart. The tone is also um, a bit different this is FotNS we don’t do happy, so please heed the warnings (in particular, discussion of/nonexplicit flashback to rape) if you’re expecting harmless fluff like the kid fic with Hermann.

Kid Hermann tries to cheer his mother up as she tries to deal with post-meteor issues.
I should see what else I can salvage out of that stalled fic. There’s bits and pieces of it I really liked, even if I never did get the plot to properly plot and it would involve way too much politics to ever finish. Writing politics is terrifying, okay.
