Doing work while avoiding other work
So today I went to pack up some Zoids, and it turned into packing a few Zoids and clean a large chunk of room.
I don’t use my bed (I like couches better, okay), so for…seven years or so it’s been “pile stuff on here” land. I found, among other things:
aaaaah excema all over my neck and back and behind my knees and—
BODY, WHY. THIS RESPONSE DOESN’T EVEN MAKE SENSE. Why is your answer to nearly every allergen death by itching?
Hey, brain? You too, body.
Can you not fall over because I went out of the house long enough to get bloodwork done, go to the grocery store, and see a movie? Because that’s a fairly uneventful series of events to result in NOT WORKING FOR DAYS.
I’m better emotionally lately, but jeebus, my functioning is so bad.
Plus side, I really liked Iron Man 3.
(Once I’m a bit less braaaaains I’ll get that Zoids anthology site up, because dang. I need to do that. I also have some fannish-about-things posts in my drafts I’ll try and get fixed up, for all your hearing me go on about 80s animation needs.)
can this week please just stop failing
For Valentine’s Day, I got…
…the power button not working right on my Galaxy Tab. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, sometimes it acts like I’m pressing it when it’s not, aaaand either way I can’t shut down to do a proper restart, it just loops back to the boot screen and brings me back to my current session while chirping at me because it thinks the battery’s fully charged (it’s not) and I need to unplug my charger (that’s not plugged in). My music player also doesn’t work, it just randomly displays a bunch of song titles while playing none of them.
I’m not very functional right now, so tablet = large chunk of how I stay connected to anything/can do anything at all. Hooray.
I’M SORRY ABOUT ALL THE WOE, TUMBLR.
I saved this as draft instead of posting? Oops
Despite textbook UTI symptoms, I do not appear to have one, even with a longer culture and all that. So where is/was the low-grade fever coming from? It may be something separate from the bladder issues, which I’ve had bouts of before. With my luck those are going to be one of those nebulous low-level impossible to pin down things—I already know about interstitial cystitis (oh, Wikipedia-hopping), but that’s diagnosis of exclusion and ugh I don’t even want to think about trying to find a urologist and playing eliminate the possible other issues right now.
Body, why can’t you just give me an error message in words?
(I really need to get some more art on this supposedly art Tumblr. Hah, like that was ever going to last.)
Yeah, pretty sure I’m running a minor fever. Simultaneously overheating and cold and dizzy is rarely anything else.
Hopefully this means my body is frying what ails it rather than just getting worse.
(Don’t worry, internets, I’ll seek more immediate medical help if I start peeing blood or something, though barring imminent doom I’m holding off until I can get specifics. Seriously, name a common antibiotic, odds are pretty good I don’t tolerate it. I’m fun that way.)
UTI symptoms before a weekend, so far cranberry isn’t helping. Looks like it’s drink ALL the water over the weekend time and hope that I don’t have to play “which antibiotic can I even tolerate” when I can get into the doctor. Pretty much every antibiotic under the sun makes me varying degrees of nastily ill, so I’m reaaaaally hoping it’ll go away.
Body, stop failing. I want to get things done!
I still have three test printing Zoids postcards that need homes, if you don’t mind I’ll be slow and probably draw birds on it. Two Sabre ones, and a Battle Rover that is cool but printed a little dark/close to the edges.
Brain not working, attempt to catch up on uploading to dA rather than sitting around moping about what I’m not getting done that I owe people.
End up getting discouraged at a) lack of creative output and b) what a pain it is to upload things that work well as Tumblr sets and give up partway through.
At least I won’t spam people who followed my scraps too quite as much?
for Christmas I got:
- some stuff it was nice stuff
- to sit around and watch Rock and Rule with my family, because that’s totally a Christmas movie WELL IT IS NOW (this was also nice)
- some kind of gastrointestinal bug which has just now taken itself from “I feel a bit off” to “no no do not do that digestive tract why is this happening ow” (this was not nice at all)
This is as far as I got on a Christmas pic, not counting a layer with the starts of color on Mach. I may still try to finish it later, unless Holiday Star eats my brains.
Dear Royal Mail: Stop smashing all the boxes I try to mail myself/my family. I know it’s you, too, because all my other international packages are fine! (Well, and probably Parcelforce too, but the last box was small.)
I don’t want to go back to Wisconsin yeeeeeeeeeet D:.
Working on postcards still because I fail, aaaand if anyone needs me for sure over the next few days, try email@example.com.
